The Early Career Contributions to Intimate Relationships Award recognizes an individual in the early stages of their professional career whose work has significantly advanced understanding or improvement of couple relationships. Contributions may take many forms, including empirical research and scholarly writing, teaching or mentorship that strengthens the next generation of couple-focused scholars and clinicians, delivery of direct services to couples, administration or program development centered on relationship functioning, or other notable efforts that meaningfully support the lives of couples. This award honors impactful and sustained early career achievements that reflect dedication to strengthening and understanding intimate relationships.
Eligible nominees must be active members of the Intimate Relationships SIG and be within ten years of receiving their terminal professional degree. This award is intended for early career professionals; students currently in training are not eligible.
Any SIG member may nominate an eligible individual for this award. Self-nominations are also welcome. Nominations should include a letter detailing the nominee’s contributions to the field and a current curriculum vitae.
