Welcome to the ABCT Relationships SIG Website!

The Relationships Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to unite researchers and clinicians who share an enthusiasm for understanding and improving the quality of close relationships from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. Through  networking, mentorship, training, and collaboration, we promote the development and dissemination of evidence-based interventions and research  about intimate relationships.

Areas of common interest include:

  • The study of individual and dyadic processes in relationships
  • The assessment and treatment of relationship discord
  • The translation of basic research into empirically supported interventions for couples and families

ABCT 2025

The Couples SIG hosts events at ABCT every year.

Thank you to everyone who attended our events during the 2024 convention!

ABCT's next convention will be in New Orleans, from November 20-23, 2025! Check the "Announcements" page of our website for updates as more information about the convention is released.
